Cooling/ Boiler Water Tracer Detection
In a closed-loop cooling water or boiler water system, the water continues to circulate within the pipeline. To reduce scale, corrosion, deposition, and biological fouling, chemical inhibitors are often added to the circulating water. In order to control the chemical inhibitor concentration, on-line tracer monitoring using PTSA fluorescent dye provides the only "real-time" control of the actual inhibitor level in the cooling system. By adding a known amount of PTSA to your water treatment chemicals, you can easily use Amiscience's handheld fluorometer to determine the concentration and adjust accordingly. (Application Note)
