Phycocyanin/Phycoerythrin Fluorometer
Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) is due to extensive and highly visible aquatic cyanobacteria blooms that can form in both freshwater and marine environments. These blooms can be toxic, and frequently lead to the closure of recreational waters when spotted. Based on Amiscience's handheld fluorometer platform, the handheld Cyanobacteria Fluorometer provides exceptional sensitivity, rapid-reading, and reliability for rapid quantitative detection of Cyanobacteria in nature water resources, power plants, and utility water plants. Calibration of standard is easily done via the touch-screen. Built-in USB interface allows user to retrieve up to 80 data points for each of the three assays stored in the memory. Two models are available for either fresh water and marine types of cyanobacteria. (Application Note)
